Shane Hayes Hackbart Soccer Scholarship
Eligibility and Requirements
The Shane Hayes Hackbart Soccer Scholarship is awarded annually by the Board of Trustees of Shane's Hugs, Inc. to a member of the Griffin High School Soccer Team.
Scholarship Eligibility
Applicants for the Shane Hayes Hackbart Soccer Scholarship must:
- Be an active male or female player on the Griffin High School Soccer team.
- Be a graduating high school senior with at least a 3.0 grade point average.
- Be enrolled in an accredited academic institution full-time during Fall of the year that scholarship is awarded.
Application Requirements
Applications for the Shane Hayes Hackbart Soccer Scholarship must be submitted with:
- A 150-200 word typed essay describing how faith in God and this scholarship will help the applicant achieve educational (technical school, college or university) and life goals.
- Two sealed letters of recommendation from the school, community, service organization or church congregation.
- A sealed transcript.

The deadline for receiving completed applications is March 10 of the year the scholarship is to be awarded.
Award Notification
Scholarship recipient(s) will be notified no later that May 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded. Scholarship checks are made payable to academic institutions.
